Hey there, I’m Sunali.
I am a mother of one, in my early thirties, who at 6 months pregnant found herself in the waters of ‘single motherhood’. That was over 5 years ago now and I’ve learnt a lot along the way. My journey is interwoven with a lot of complexities such as trauma, family dysfunction, domestic violence and all kinds of abuse. I’m here to talk about the real shit, the ugly shit, the shit that people walk on eggshells around because it’s too uncomfortable to speak about conversationally, because for so many of us ‘single mothers’, it is our reality. So, it’s time to bring awareness and recognise the additional loads single mothers bear mentally, emotionally, financially and physically so we can work on ways to provide genuine support. So, whether you call yourself a sole parent, solo parent, a single parent, a co-parent or a solo parent by choice, you are welcome, and I am so happy that you are here!
Lots of love, Sunali xx
